Hutchinson Community College is providing an opportunity for qualified* high school students to participate in college credit classes without paying tuition!
Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, the Governor of Kansas approved Kansas high school students to access college credit classes that prepare students to work in high-demand career fields through the new Career and Technical Education Act - CTE Initiative (SB155).
This opportunity will assist students in acquiring work-ready skills while building a college transcript and developing a skilled workforce for Kansas employers. Without paying a penny in tuition, students can take qualified* career and technical college credit courses offered through Hutchinson Community College at an HutchCC campus (Hutchinson, McPherson, Newton) or through our Online Programs, available statewide.
For more information on how to qualify as a student under KS CTE Initiative (SB155), contact your high school counselor, or the HutchCC Outreach office at outreachinfo@hutchcc.edu or 1-888-GOHUTCH.
* Enrollment in courses requires a High School principal approval. Not all courses are eligible for CTE Initiative (SB155) funding. Please get in touch with your counselor or an HutchCC Outreach staff member for more details on course eligibility.
