Candidate Physical Ability Test

The CPAT is a sequence of events requiring you to progress along a predetermined path from event to event in a continuous manner. This test was developed to allow fire departments to obtain pools of trainable candidates who are physically able to perform essential job tasks at fire scenes. Testing is done at our Fire Science East facility, 11319 S. Halstead Rd., Hutchinson, KS 67501. For more information contact HutchCC Fire: 620-728-4460 or 728-4461.

We are currently taking payments for the upcoming Candidate Physical Ability Test. See registration fees and test dates below. Please contact us at HutchCC Fire Science and have a credit card ready to make your payment. Please call:   620-728-4460 to make your payment.

NOTE:  You will receive additional testing information including your testing time via email after we receive your payment receipt.   If you do not receive this information before your test date,  please contact us again at HutchCC Fire Science:  620-728-4460.  No testing information will be sent to you until payment is made.

January 31, 2025 (Registration payment deadline is January 30, 2025)

April 18, 2025 (Registration payment deadline is April 17, 2025)

August 22, 2025 (Registration payment deadline is August 21, 2025)

November 21, 2025 (Registration payment deadline is November 20, 2025)

PRACTICE AND ORIENTATION REGISTRATION

If no one is registered for a specific orientation or practice date, the building will not be opened that day.
