Candidate Physical Ability Test

The CPAT is a sequence of events requiring you to progress along a predetermined path from event to event in a continuous manner. This test was developed to allow fire departments to obtain pools of trainable candidates who are physically able to perform essential job tasks at fire scenes. Testing is done at our Fire Science East facility, 11319 S. Halstead St., Hutchinson, KS 67501. Registration for the next CPAT Test.

After you have registered we will call you for the $85 testing fee. Have a credit card ready to make your payment. If you would like call our main office at 620-728-4460 to make payment. Once payment is made you will be sent an email with your test start time. You are to be at the test building 30 minutes before you test time. Long pants are required to take this test!

NOTE:  You will receive additional testing information, including your testing time via email after we receive your payment receipt.   If you do not receive this information before your test date,  please contact us again at HutchCC Fire Science:  620-728-4460.  No testing information will be sent to you until payment is made.

PRACTICE AND ORIENTATION REGISTRATION

If no one is registered for a specific orientation or practice date, the building will not be opened that day.
