• Where are we located? How do I get there from Wichita or coming from the North?

• Can I earn a degree at HutchCC Newton?

  Yes, you can earn a degree taking classes at the Newton Center.  Schedule an appointment with an advisor today to start your degree plan.

• What kinds of classes does HutchCC-Newton offer?

  HutchCC Newton offers general education classes as well as program-specific classes including business, paralegal, criminal justice, and nursing prerequisites.

• What time of day are classes?

  Classes start as early as 7:30am or as late as 6:30pm.

• What is Brooks? What technical programs do you offer?

  Brooks Regional Center for Career and Technical Education is the home of our welding and machine technology programs.  Schedule an appointment with the Career Development Coordinator today for a tour and program information.

• How do I schedule a proctored exam?

  E-mail request to newton@hutchcc.edu with the following information: Name of class; class chapter or exam number; the time needed for testing; instructor name; student ID and phone number. Please bring a photo ID to all proctored exam appointments.

• What is a concurrent class?

  A concurrent enrollment partnership student is a person enrolled in classes at a high school for college credit classes during the normal high school day. For more information.

• Are all HutchCC Newton classes located in the Axtell Educational Center?

  Most HutchCC Newton classes are located at Axtell, some are held at Newton High School or at other facilities in Newton.  See your schedule or call us for individual class locations.

• Can I speak with a financial aid advisor at HutchCC Newton?

  A financial aid advisor takes appointments in Newton two days per month.  Call our front desk (316-283-7000) to schedule an appointment.

• How do I get books for online classes?

  Books for your online classes can be sent to Newton from Hutchinson at no additional charge to you.  Please request the books be ordered at our front desk.  You will receive an e-mail that your books have been ordered and then you will receive an e-mail when they arrive.  Don't forget your Student ID to purchase your books!

• When do classes start?

  Full length semester classes start in January, June and August.  We have classes that start at a variety of times, call and schedule an appointment with our advisor to see what might work with your schedule!

• What are the hours for the bookstore?

  Regular bookstore hours are:

  Mon-Thurs 8:15am-8:30pm

  Friday 8:15am-4:30pm
