With the rising costs of higher education, affordability is always a concern for parents and students. Hutchinson Community College's Blue Dragon Bound Scholarship Program can help you get a jump start on a degree from one of the premier colleges in Kansas. Turn those HutchCC credits that you earned in high school into even more with a scholarship that helps you ignite your future after graduation!

This program will provide you with a scholarship matching the credit hour for credit hour that you completed in high school if you enroll with HutchCC after you graduate. It is as easy as that! Pass your classes while in high school and you will have a scholarship waiting for you here at HutchCC!

Student Requirements

• College credit must be a letter grade and students must have earned a grade of C or higher or a P in a pass/fail class.
• Day or evening, on-campus, off-campus, Online, or Hybrid classes taken during the fall, spring, or summer semesters prior to high school graduation are eligible.
• Students must have paid for the tuition and fees of those courses taken while in high school. Excel in CTE courses will not be included in the calculation of credits earned.
• The scholarship is granted to students who enroll and attend full-time in the fall or spring semesters following high school graduation. Official High School transcript (with graduation date posted) required.
• HutchCC must be the only institution attended after high school graduation.
• Graduated High School Seniors, attending only HutchCC summer classes, are not eligible for the program.
• Be a Kansas resident
• Students will receive a scholarship based on the number of credits hours they have successfully completed; the scholarship will be capped at 15 credits per semester. If a student has completed more than fifteen credit hours those will roll over to the spring semester and subsequent semesters after that.
