Judson Lee serves as the Director of Choral Activities at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas. A native of Iowa, he has been working with choirs and students of varying backgrounds and ages for ten years. He completed his bachelor's degree at Wartburg College, spending the next several years in Iowa's Cedar Valley serving as a church choral musician, private music teacher, composer, and section leader of Bel Canto Cedar Valley, a local semi-professional community choral ensemble. After completing his master's degree in choral conducting at Simpson College, he moved to Colorado and began his doctoral studies at the University of Northern Colorado, continuing his teaching, composing and church music career in addition to his graduate teaching responsibilities. As a composer he has written music for collegiate choral ensembles, churches, community ensembles and middle school choirs. Faith, community and connection serve as the cornerstones through which Judson engages with his students and colleagues, and he strives to help others find their voice through collaborative music-making for each other and for the world.
