Fire Officer - CCOMP
This program is designed for experienced firefighters who would like to enhance their leadership skills. Courses will prepare students to directly supervise and coordinate activities of those working in firefighting along with prevention and control. At the completion of this program, students would be prepared for a Fire Officer level position within the public or private sector.
Careers
Fire Officers hold the important role of leading a fire unit. In this role, they assess the nature and extent of fire events in order to facilitate the rescue of persons and maximize application of extinguishing agents. The ability to communicate clearly while under pressure and serve as a working leader are crucial to the job of a Fire Officer.

- Think critically and make reasonable judgments by acquiring, analyzing, combining, and evaluating quantitative and non-quantitative information in order to adequately fulfill the role of a firefighter.
- Recognize accepted ethical standards expected of public emergency services.
