Early Childhood Education - AAS

This program prepares students for careers as child care center administrators, teacher aides, preschool directors, program coordinators, parent educators, child care consultants, nannies, and family day-care providers. Students enrolled in the program receive practical application of their knowledge and skills at HutchCC's Child Care Center, which provides quality child care services for young children of HutchCC students and staff.

Careers

Child care workers nurture and teach children of all ages in child care centers, nursery schools, preschools, public schools, private households and before-and-after school programs. They play an important role in a child’s development by providing basic care and education duties while parents are working.

Accreditation

Hutchinson Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
