WHAT IS THE MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT? The Federal Mine Safety and Health Act was signed into law on November 9, 1977. Requirements for the training were set by the department of Labor. The overall thrust of theses rules is to ensure that miners will be effectively trained in matters affecting their health and safety, with the ultimate goal of reducing the frequency and severity of injuries in the nation's mines.

HOW IS TRAINING PRESENTED? Training is provided by MSHA certified Instructors with programs designed to meet the needs of the specific company procedures and policies. These programs are presented by demonstrations, lectures, individualized instructions, discussions, videos, transparencies, PowerPoint slide shows, and hands-on experiences. They can be delivered on-site or convenient location.
