Did you know?
-

County rates higher than Kansas and the nation for percent
of persons 65 years old
and
above.
-
2000 Census
Data indicates there are over 10,600 persons age 65 and above
residing in
the county.
-
Faith in Action's (FIA) goal in Reno County is to assist the homebound elderly to improve their quality of life and remain

-
Faith in
Action will work with the Reno County Department of Aging to
identify people in
need of care.

Provide
friendly visits to elderly who may be
isolated.
-
Provide
transportation enabling homebound elderly to meet their medical
appointments.
-
Help with
grocery shopping.
-
Give
friendship and comfort to those in need of telephone reassurance.
