  Faith in Action Volunteer Caregivers

Did you know?

  • Reno County rates higher than Kansas and the nation for percent of persons 65 years old and above.

  • 2000 Census Data indicates there are over 10,600 persons age 65 and above residing in the county.

  • Faith in Action's (FIA) goal in Reno County is to assist the homebound elderly to improve their quality of life and remain independent as long as safely possible.

  • Faith in Action will work with the Reno County Department of Aging to identify people in need of care.

How can you share your time and talents as a volunteer caregiver? The choices are:

  • Provide friendly visits to elderly who may be isolated.

  • Provide transportation enabling homebound elderly to meet their medical appointments.

  • Help with grocery shopping.

  • Give friendship and comfort to those in need of telephone reassurance.

  • Involve your church, club or organization in the Faith in Action Volunteer Caregiver Program.

A person needs your help…get involved today!
