What is the purpose of RSVP and The Volunteer Action Corp
The Volunteer Center is a matches the time and talents of persons wanting to volunteer with non-profit and governmental organizations in need of dependable volunteer help.

How do I get involved?
Call The Volunteer Center at 620-665-4960 or e-mail volunteercenter@hutchcc.edu .  A staff member will schedule a time to meet with you to discuss your interests and time available for volunteering. You will be asked to complete a registration form and review the volunteer opportunities available. With the help of a staff member, you will choose a volunteer assignment you want to pursue.

After a potential volunteer assignment is chosen, staff will arrange for you to meet with the volunteer supervisor of the requesting agency.  During the interview, the supervisor will provide detailed information about the volunteer work to be done. The interview will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about the assignment and for the supervisor to determine if the volunteer has the necessary qualifications for the job.

What if I don't want to be tied down?
Volunteers are encouraged to choose volunteer assignments which they perform on a weekly basis. However, some volunteers do not want to be "tied down" and therefore, are called for short-term or special projects assignments only
