 2012 Graduates- join our group!

Graduation Checklist:

• Review Degree Audit with your academic advisor
• Complete forms  and deliver to the appropriate offices
• Pay the commencement fee in the Business Office
• Check for possible institutional HOLDS and resolve if necessary
• Update legal, local, and e-mail addresses
• Complete the HCC Graduate Questionnaire

Commencement is held once a year in May. Those invited to participate in the commencement exercises are the graduates from the prior summer and fall semesters, as well as, the current spring applicants.

A letter concerning details of the commencement ceremony for graduates will be mailed from the Presidents Office several weeks prior to the ceremony.

Diplomas are mailed eight to ten weeks after degree and/or certificate verifications are completed.

Although faculty advisors, department chairpersons and the Records Office staff assist in checking requirements, students are ultimately responsible for meeting graduation requirements.

Graduation Application Deadlines:

General Requirements for degree or certificate of graduation

• Student must file an application for graduation with the Records Office.
• 15 of your last 24 credit hours must have been earned at HCC.
• Candidates for graduation must have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA.
• Developmental (below 100 level) courses will not count toward fulfilling graduation degree/certificate requirements.
