> Administration > Financial AidIn order for the FAFSA to be processed at Hutchinson Community College the students must have admissions application on file.
To apply for financial aid, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. The FAFSA can be filed electronically through the FAFSA website at www.fafsa.ed.gov. When completing the application, you must list Hutchinson Community College & Area Vocational School, school code 001923 for your application to be forwarded to us.
If this is the first time that you are filing for financial aid, you will need to request a Personal Identification Number (PIN) so that you can sign your FAFSA electronically. You can apply for your PIN electronically at www.pin.ed.gov. Once you have received your PIN number from the U.S. Department of Education, keep it in a secure place as you will need this PIN every year to complete your application electronically.
Once you have completed your FAFSA, you will receive notification from the U.S. Department of Education saying that your application has been processed. If you filed your FAFSA electronically, you should receive an e-mail notification within 72 hours.
Applicants selected for verification may be required to submit documentation to the Hutchinson Community College Financial Aid Office in support of the data supplied on the FAFSA. The financial aid office will notify selected applicants of the documentation needed to complete the verification process.
