Personnel, Services and Equipment

Available for contests at HCC

 

ATHLETIC TRAINERS: Present at all contests at Gowans Stadium, Sports Arena,  Hobart-Detter  Field, Fun Valley and the Hutchinson High Soccer Complex.

TRAINING ROOM LOCATION: The Sports Medicine Department is located in the southeast corner of the Sports Arena basement. The phone number is (620-665-3553. The training room will be closed one hour before home football games. Other sports will have access to training room at that time when competing.

TEAM PHYSICIANS: Pinnacle Sports Medicine and Orthopeadics. Drs. Erik Severud and Jonathan Loewen. Phone 620-662-6000.

 

BACK-UP MEDICAL FACILITY (nights, weekends, holidays): Hutchinson Hospital, located  at 1701 East 23rd Avenue. Phone 620-665-2000. 24 hour-per-day coverage: Emergency Room (physician staffed 24 hours).

 

AMBULANCE SERVICE:  911. When on campus, dial 9-911.

 

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES:  These items will be available during HCC home games:

               A – Stretcher                                            E – Ambulance (football only)

               B – Ice                                                       F –  Physician on call

               C – Splints                                                G – Water and cups

               D – Crutches

 

TRAINING ROOM TREATMENTS: Ultra-sound, whirlpool, hydroculator, etc. (Given only with written prescription from athletic trainer or team physician of student athlete’s own institution.)

 

It is strongly recommended

that your team be accompanied

by an athletic trainer.
