Per-game credentials must be made no later than two days prior to the event to be covered.

Credentials for other HCC athletic events are not required, but it would be courteous to inform the Sports Information Office of the intent to cover the contest.

MEDIA WILL CALL

If possible, credentials will be mailed out, but in case media members must pick them up at the site, please read the following procedures:

Gowans Stadium - Media Will Call will be located at the west ticket window of the new Gowans Stadium. The west ticket window will have direct access to the press box elevator.

Sports Arena - Media Will Call will be located at the pass gate at the south door of the west entrance to the Sports Arena. Do not go to either ticket window to obtain credentials.

MEDIA PARKING

Gowans Stadium - There will be very limited parking for media members on the west side of Gowans Stadium. As of this time, there is nothing guaranteed in the way of media parking at Gowans Stadium so get there early.

Sports Arena - Parking is free on the east and west sides of the Sports Arena for basketball. Media members are encouraged to park in the west lot for the easiest access to the will call window.

MEDIA FACILITIES

Gowans Stadium - The 2006 football season will be the first for Gowans Stadium's new press box. Media members will have access to both phone lines and internet connections in the press box.

A long-distance access code may be needed and will be provided by the Sports Information Department if necessary.

Visiting radio stations must contact Bill Oliver at KWBW radio (620-662-4486) to inquire about courtesy lines to be used for broadcasts.

Sports Arena - There are upper and lower press areas at the Sports Arena. Visiting radio stations must contact Bill Oliver at KWBW radio (620-662-4486) to inquire about courtesy lines to be used for broadcasts.

For volleyball, a temporary press table is set up for each single match. No on-court press tables are set up for tournaments.

Hobart-Detter Field - Hobart-Detter Field has a full press box located atop the main grandstand. There are no hot phone lines in the press box, but there is a phone in the ticket booth that can be used for transmitting stories and radio broadcasts.

Fun Valley - Each field at Fun Valley is equipped with a small box for scoreboard, public address and statistic crews. Usually there is room for one media member normally.

No phones are available in the press box, but there is one in the umpires room. Prior approval to use that phone is required.

INTERVIEW POLICY

All requests for interviews by all media must be made through the HCC Sports Information Office and then must be OKed through the head coach.

This policy goes for weekly and postgame interviews for all Blue Dragon student athletes throughout the season. Media members who do not follow this policy will be subject to revocation of credentials for the entire season.
