Bonnie Neville became the director of the Dragon Dolls in 1970
and hasn't slowed down yet.
Neville began her teaching career at Colby Community College in
1965. When her husband, Lyle, accepted the head wrestling coach's job at
Hutchinson High School, the Nevilles - including sons Brad, Lane and Morgan,
came to Hutch in 1970.
Neville was hired as the dance instructor for the physical
education department at Hutchinson Community College, which included the dance
team, for the 1970-71 school year. She remains in that position today.
Her teaching duties at HCC have included tap, modern, folk,
ballroom, aerobics and the dance team.
Neville begin her dance training at the age of 5 in her hometown
of Goodland, Kan. She performed at Kansas State University in numerous
productions while attending college.
Neville has choreographed and danced in the Follies and other shows performed in
Hutchinson to raise money for many philanthropic organizations.
In 1975, she completed her family with the birth of her daughter,
Monee.
