The 2007 Region VI champion Hutchinson
Community College women’s soccer team will play Region VI champion Laramie
County Community College in the first game of their NJCAA District B
Championship on Friday, Nov. 2 at Coeur D Alene, Id.
The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT. The
Hutchinson-Laramie County winner will play Region XVIII champion and

In just its third-year of existence,
Hutchinson has had a remarkable start to its program. Entering play in the
District B Championship, head coach Sammy Lane’s program has amassed a 37-18
record with three winning seasons, three berths in the Region VI Final Four
and two trips to the Region VI Championship match.
On Sunday at the Hummer Sports Complex in
Topeka, Hutchinson captured its first regional championship with a 2-1
victory over No. 8 Johnson County.
Hutchinson entered the 2007 Region VI
Tournament as the sixth seed. The Lady Dragons went on to knock off
third-seed Coffeyville on the road, then knock of No. 2 Butler in the
semifinals and top-seeded Johnson County on Sunday.
The Lady Dragons avenged regular-season
losses to all three regional opponents.
The winner of the District B championship
