ASSISTANT - JORDAN BELL

A native of Wichita, Jordan Bell will be the defensive backs coach for Hutchinson Community College this season.
Bell comes to Hutchinson after spending three seasons on the coaching staff at Emporia State University.

Bell spent his first season coaching the safeties and the next two seasons coaching the cornerbacks with the Hornets. Bell had one player earn first-team All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association honors in 2006 (Brandon Stribling). In 2004 & 2005, he had one player earn second-team all-league honors (Chris Peoples and Emmanuel Howard) and another named to the MIAA honorable mention list after the 2005 season (Stribling).
Stribling went on to sign a free agent contract with the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals.

Bell also played at Emporia State University from 1999-2003.
He was a three-year letterman at free safety. Bell played under head coaches Dave Wiemers and current Southern Illinois University head coach Jerry Kill.

Bell played on Emporia State's 2002 Mineral Water Bowl championship team that went 9-3 and on the Hornets' 2003 MIAA conference champion and NCAA Division II playoff team that also went 9-3.

Bell was born in Wichita and attended Bishop Carroll High School, where he graduated from in 1999. While at Bishop Carroll, he was part of back to back Wichita City League championship teams.

He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Emporia State in 2004.
