Lisa Ward begins her third year coaching at HCC.
Ward was a collegiate cheerleader and cheer camp staffer prior to
coaching at the junior high and high school levels. Since assuming her
role at HCC, the Blue Dragon cheer squad has grown from 10 members to
30.
Since 2003, HCC has won:
+ The NCA Most Collegiate Small-Coed Division
(2003-04).
+ Coed Intermediate Spirit Routine Championship at the
SMU Camp (2004-05).
+ NCA Co-Intermediate Division bid winner (2004-05).
+ NCA Collegiate Championship fourth place Co-Ed
Intermediate (2005).
+ Fight Song Champion - Junior College Division
(2005-06).
+ NCA Junior College Bid Winner (2005-06).
The team is now positioned within the top 5 to 10
junior colleges in the country.
By day, Lisa Ward is an attorney and owner in the law
firm of Gilliland & Hayes, P.A., Hutchinson where she practices in the
areas of real estate development, business law and estate planning.
Ward is married to Roger Ward. They have three
children; Blake, 17; Brooke, 7; and Jace, age 6. The Wards reside in
Inman.
