The 2008 Hutchinson Community College baseball World Series will being at noon on Saturday at Hobart-Detter Field.

The intersquad series will be a best-of-5 series and all game will be nine innings.

Game 1 opens at noon on Saturday with Game 2 at 1 p.m. on Sunday and Game 3 at 3 p.m. on Monday. Games 4 and 5, if necessary will be next weekend.

The opening game of the series will be Parents Day. Also the team will have a Home Run Derby on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.

The probable starting pitchers for the opening game of the series will be a pair of sophomores who had big freshman seasons. Left-hander Tim Statz will be opposed by right-hander Scott Keffer.
