The Spartans led by as many as five points in the fourth quarter after tournament scoring leader Ashia Woods hit two free throws with 4:57 to play to give Collegiate a 53-48 lead.

Olvera hit 10 free throws in the final 1:24, but it took a Kathy Eakes free throw - after the Lady Mustangs missed three straight from the line, with 10 seconds to play to seal the state championship.
