Wichita Trinity 47, Northern Heights 28

Cole Graddy scored 21 points to lead second-seeded Wichita Trinity into the 3A finals for the first time in school history.

Trinity was in total control from the outset, holding Northern Heights to 31.7 percent shooting and forcing 27 turnovers. Trinity scored 25 points off Northern Heights turnovers.

Scott Henderson had 10 points and eight rebounds for Trinity.

Haydon Parks had 12 points to lead Heights.

Nemaha Valley 54,  Holcomb 51

Patrick Schulte scored the go-ahead basket with 12 seconds to play to cap a wild fourth quarter and send top-seeded Nemaha Valley into the 3A championship game with a thrilling semifinal victory over Holcomb.

Schulte scored 29 points, going 14 of 17 from the free-throw line to lead the Raiders.

Nemaha Valley was 0 of 3 shooting in the fourth quarter until Schulte scored from a Lance Studer assist. Holcomb quickly moved the ball up the floor but missed a short jumper that Schulte rebounded and was fouled. He hit both free throws to give Nemaha Valley a 54-51 lead.

Holcomb never got a game-tying attempt off as Dane Brinker stole to ball to secure the victory.

Schulte was the only Raider in double figures. Brinker finished with eight points.

C.J. Brau finished with 17 points and four steals to lead Holcomb. Zevin Roth and Leroy Tefoya had eight points each.
