Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

The Volunteer Center extends appreciation to all of the wonderful volunteers who make the VITA program happen every year.  In 2016, VITA volunteer tax preparers helped 1,516 people with their tax returns.  This free tax service is returning.  The VITA tax site, located at the Salvation Army, will open on January 31st and volunteers will prepare taxes free of charge for persons whose combined household income does not exceed $64,000.  Hours are Tuesdays 9 am - 7 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9 am - 3:00 pm and Saturday 2/11 & 3/11 9 am - 3:30 pm.

For those whose combined household income does not exceed $64,000 who want to prepare their own taxes you can do them for free at using the link below.
