'Panic!' is a surprising jam

For a surprisingly diverse collection of music, check out “Panic! At the Disco’s” latest CD, “Pretty Odd.”

And yes, it is indeed pretty odd.

I’m not even sure how these talented individuals managed it, but this CD actually contains a variety of genres, from country to something that sounds almost classical, complete with a harpsichord.

Thankfully though, it doesn’t include sounds that are similar to mainstream hip-hop.

Unlike a lot of the music we hear on the radio that touts messages of pimpin’ in the hood and doing any random ho you happen upon, this unbelievable CD required talent.

“Panic!” has been off the music radar for quite a while; their last CD release was back in 2005 with, “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.”

The year 2006 was when the band really took off though, when the CD “Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have without Taking Her Clothes Off,” was introduced.

Despitte the strange name that accompanies many great songs, from this CD they produced a #1 hit single entitled, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” and began their walk of fame.

“Nine in the Afternoon,” one of the best songs from their newest CD, caught my attention quickly.

Upbeat and full of fun lyrics, this song is probably my favorite.

“Panic!” has much to offer listeners, froom the diverse beats to the unique lyrics.

If you’re looking for an upbeat CD to jam in your car to, check out Panic! At the Disco’s latest CD, “Pretty Odd.”
