Broadcasting students
win awards at KAB

Broadcasting students from Hutchinson Community College got a chance to learn about the world of telecommunications, and even receive a couple of awards for their hard work.In competition on April 15, Ashley Conkling received second place for her public service announcement on binge drinking, and Erik Mai won second place for his radio DJ aircheck.



 

Journalism students try sleek,
new MacBook Airs

It’s the “thinnovation” we’ve all been waiting for. The world’s thinnest notebook, the MacBook Air, is now at Hutchinson Community College. Journalism instructor Alan Montgomery applied for a grant in August from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation out of Oklahoma City.


 

Collegian reporters, photographers hope to
 be on hand to see Bush at Greensburg

A number of HCC journalism and photography students and their adviser are planning to be in Greensburg on May 4 when President Bush arrives.The president will be the speaker at the graduation for the Greensburg High School Class of 2008.
