   Dillon Lecture to host Arctic explorer

Alvah Simon, survivor of 18 months in the Arctic Circle, will be visiting Hutchinson Community College for the Dillon Lecture Series on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Simon was inspired for his arctic trip by Ernest Shackleton’s Antarctic voyage in 1914 that landed
Shackleton in a lifeboat in an icy Southern Ocean after his ship was crushed by ice.

Bull-headed judges need to be held back
 from tyrannical rulings

In August, a Ten Commandment monument was removed from an Alabama state judicial building as a result of a four-year-old lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union. A Federal Judge issued the order. 
The real issue is not about the monument, however, it is much bigger. The real issue is judicial tyranny. A group of unelected and unaccountable people are determined to remove all evidence of God from our country.
