for the flowers that adorn the HCC campus this fall, it was more a
matter of planting and hard work.
While looking for flower prices last November, HCC groundskeeper Ron
Graber got a surprise when he found out that Gold Smith Seed Company and
Pan American Seed Company would give him free seed, but someone would

The power outages in New York earlier this
year shed light on an important fact. While the rest of the U.S. shows
dramatic inflation in service rates, the power companies are forced to
maintain prices similar to what they had in the 70’s. They cannot raise
their prices without major complaint from customers. But when the power
goes out because the plants are overloaded, these customers are the
first to complain.
