New products soothe hangovers Given the massive amounts of anti-alcohol messages that have been such a constant force throughout our lives, one would assume that America might look a little less favorably on alcohol than it does. Why then does it seem that we’re digressing from the long-held practice of discouraging reckless drinking? The new trend seems to be helping soften the, shall we say, unfortunate side effects of heavy drinking. What an unfortunate thing hangovers are. To think that one should have to suffer simply because he or she drank too much (that was sarcasm, by the way). Medicinal products, such as Chaser‚ help these poor souls get through these difficult experiences (again, sarcasm). Think about it; before you know it, you’ll be up and drinking again in no time. Thanks, Chaser! Even Lifetimetv.com has added hangover-relief to its list of wholesome-family tips, as shown by a recent “How do I get rid of a hangover?” question-and-answer list. You can almost hear the writer saying, “Hmmm, how can I make heavy drinking as pleasant as possible?” Perhaps America figured trying to lower excessive alcohol use was going nowhere, so why try? How quickly we give in. It may seem like an old-fashioned approach, but if hangovers are a problem, don’t drink! Whatever you choose to do,
remember to take responsibility for your
actions. Alcohol is detrimental to the health of
your body, so expect some unpleasantness. |
