Concealed weapon bill debated

 A proposed law that would allow Kansans to carry concealed weapons is a bad idea, according to several students and staff at Hutchinson Community College. 

Under the bill, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation could  give a concealed-handgun permit only to those who are at least 21 years of age, have completed a firearms safety course, are without any felony convictions and history of mental illness, and have not abused drugs or alcohol within the past five years.  More...
