Which session would you like to attend?

NOTE: If attending both sessions, you must choose a different camp program each day.

Session 1: Tuesday June 11th, 2024 ($15.00)

Session 2: Wednesday June 12th, 2024 ($15.00)

Both session 1 and 2 ($25.00) (Program content is exact same for Session 1 as Session 2) NOTE: You must select two different camp programs for this option. EXCEPTION: Welding Sessions 1 and 2 are different.

Ag Diesel-Experience a short session at the HutchCC AG Diesel Shop learning about load testing a tractor engine, hydraulic system, batteries, and air conditioning system.

Automation - Learn the basics of automation controllers used in industry. Make a simple program and then run it on real equipment in the lab.

Computer Drafting-Get hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor software as you create mechanical parts and assemblies. Then, you will create a simple residential home using Autodesk Revit software. Attendees will also learn about the opportunities for drafters in the architecture and engineering fields.

Construction-Interested in the Construction Industry? In this course, students will explore careers in construction, as well as gain basic carpentry skills needed in today's workforce. Students will also learn more about the Construction Technology (BuildingTrades) program, the homes built, and what it takes to be successful in residential and commercial construction careers.

Farm & Ranch-Experience a morning on the school farm learning about crop production and an afternoon learning the basics of drones, and planting herb seeds in our greenhouse.

Personal Finance-"What's the financial cost of being an adult in America today? Participants will find out in this Bootcamp session. This will be achieved by creating a monthly budget based on each individual's future career and life choices."

Podcasting-Learn the basics of piecing together a journalism-style feature story, from learning how to conduct an interview to the process of putting together a story. Then Partake in a mock news conference and get to write a story. Students will be able to get advice and encouragement when writing their stories from current and former Hutchinson Collegian staff members.

Robotics - Robotics - Students will learn what a robot is, how they affect our daily lives, and will write a small program with our DOBOT robots in our labs.

Video Production-Learn how to plan, shoot, and edit short stories, through hands on experience with professional equipment and software.

THIS SESSION IS FULL-CLOSED Welding-Participants will learn about the Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) process while completing basic welds. Students will be expected to be dressed in closed toe shoes, jeans (no shorts), cotton t-shirt. All additional safety equipment will be provided as needed.
