The Radiologic Technology Program combines technical and general education classroom courses with practice in lab environment and clinical experiences.  The program is affiliated with many clinical sites in the surrounding area to allow students to acquire necessary hands-on skills and professionalism of a radiographer.

Some of our program’s greatest accomplishments are the graduates themselves. Our 2014 program completion rate was 67%, graduating 14 out of 21 students.  Graduates are very successful in acquiring careers in Radiology.  The program has a 5 year employment placement rate of 89%, or 58 out 65 students. Other graduates decide to specialize in other modalities such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine.  Hutchinson Community College offers a 9 month MRI program for graduates and a 2 + 2 affiliation with Friends University for a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology.  The program is especially proud of our 5 year 100%  pass rate or 70 out of 70 students succeeding on the National Registry that students take after graduation.   The program has a dedicated faculty with a combined 51 years of educational experience.

Medical imaging is a huge part of an ever changing healthcare environment. The Radiologic Technology program at HCC is top notch. The knowledgeable instructors, course curriculum, and clinical experience are all designed to give its graduates the tools that they'll need to succeed in the healthcare field. I would highly recommend this program to anyone thinking about radiology.
