The McPherson HCC PN Program is located in a new, state-of-the-art, facility which include classrooms, skills lab, and computer lab. Three high-fidelity simulators are utilized throughout the curriculum. High fidelity simulators are computerized, interactive, life-like mannequins that provide realistic patient responses allowing students to perfect clinical skills in a controlled environment. Computerized testing, similar to the NCLEX-PN format, is used to enhance students’ preparation for their national licensure exam.
The full-time McPherson program meets four to five days per week for 12 months, beginning in June, with sixty students selected.
There are two part-time programs which generally meet two days per week with a few weeks during the program meeting three times for 18 months, beginning in January on alternating years. Twenty students are selected for each part-time program. These programs are especially popular for students who must continue to work during school.
